She plays as an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top level of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team alongside Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. She was second in the United States to score 28 goals and 20 assists for 2012, making her the youngest and sixth most prolific player in the nation to score 20 goals in a single year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was also selected to the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
