
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player. She plays as an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top level of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team alongside Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][99 Morgan was selected number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan, who was 22 at the time was the youngest athlete of the national team in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. At the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the game-winning goal the 123rd minute in the semi-final game against Canada. She was second in the United States to score 28 goals and 20 assists for 2012, making her the youngest and sixth most prolific player in the nation to score 20 goals in a single year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was also selected to the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
